Anubi's Amulet
Scatter Symbol
I imagined the Amulet as a pendant on a necklace, but protected by a pair of undead hands (maybe Anubi's mummy?), made of gold and showing Anubis' Eye, but also decorated with bones and teeth and hieroglyphs. To create anticipation and to have an additional layer of storyline, the Scatter can initially land showing the Relic caged into the monstrous hands, that would gradually open up once the player lands the second and third scatter, to finally set the jewel free and unleash its power.

Bonus Game Concept art
I imagined that the base game Chamber starts crumbling under the supernatural power of the activated Amulet: a portal to the Afterlife is now open and a river of lava comes from the underground, covering the floor and falling into a cascade behind the reels.
The egytpian temple is now reduced to its bones, literally. The semi-circular columns are inspired by the movie Stargate, but this shape is a recurring element in Egyptian architecture and iconography: it appears in scarab wings, it frames God's halos, is used in decorative patterns. But, even better, once mixed with the mortuary angle I was going for, the element can be turned into ribs on the spine-bridge leading to the reels and the portal behind them.
I wanted to preserve recognizable egyptian elements and decoration in the architecture, but with a twist, mixing bones and stone. The atmosphere is dramatic and hypercinetic, almost apocalyptic: I imagined souls and pieces of rock floating around and sucked into the portal, blue flames in the lamps around the reels attracted by the same force, electric-stormy effects all around.
